What is Pilates?

Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20 th century. Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on strengthening muscles while improving alignment, balance, body awareness, core, endurance, flexibility, and posture. No muscle left behind!

Who is Pilates for?

Why is Pilates amazing?

It’s a full body workout, even the little muscles get love! Pilates educates your body how to seamlessly move as one. It is also low impact, making it a safe and appropriate activity for a variety of populations. Pilates promotes mind-body awareness: mental focus, breath, controlled body movement, and quality over quantity. First class is FREE!

What is a Reformer?

A Reformer is a versatile piece of Pilates equipment. With its unique moving
carriage and resistance springs it provides resistance and/or support to all exercises. A variety of exercises can be executed in different positions (supine, prone, side-lying, keeling and standing). For a little spice we often add props; ball, dowel, TheraBand, hand weights and more!
